The teachings at Ārsha Vidyā Āshram are conducted by Swāmī Advayānanda Sarasvatī, Swāmī Pranavārthānanda Sarasvatī, and dedicated volunteers who have undergone several years of training.
Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda Sarasvatī was a renowned traditional teacher of Advaita Vedānta. He was the guru of Swāmī Advayānandajī and Swāmī Pranavārthānandajī.
Endowed with profound spiritual wisdom, he taught Vedānta in India for more than five decades and worldwide from 1976.
He founded the All India Movement (AIM) for Seva, an organization dedicated to supporting villagers in remote areas of India, particularly in the fields of healthcare and education. He also established the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha, which brings together the spiritual leaders of India within a single body.
Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda trained many teachers, both men and women, through three-year residential courses in Vedānta and Sanskrit conducted in India and the United States. Today, more than 200 of them are teaching around the world.
Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda attained Mahā Samādhi on September 23, 2015, at his ashram in Rishikesh.
Swāmī Advayānanda Sarasvatī is the founder and principal teacher of Ārsha Vidyā Āshram in Le Port, Reunion island.
From an early age, he was deeply drawn to India and its culture. He met Brahmachārī Pranava Chaitanya in Mauritius and later went to India to study Sanskrit and the sacred texts of Hinduism, including the Upaniṣads and the Bhagavad Gītā. Between 1980 and 1983, he studied at the feet of Swāmī Chinmayānanda, Swāmī Dayānanda, and Swāmī Viditātmānanda.
Upon returning to Réunion Island, Swāmījī began teaching in various temples across the island. With the cooperation of many students and the support of local authorities, he founded Ārsha Vidyā Āshram in 1994, with the blessings of Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda Sarasvatī.
Swāmī Pranavārthānanda Sarasvatī participates in the teaching of Vedānta and Sanskrit at Ārsha Vidyā Āshram in Le Port.
While engaged in a spiritual quest, he came across an article introducing Swāmī Advayānanda Sarasvatī and became his student. At that time, he was known at the Ashram du Port by the name Omkār. It was there that he met Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda Sarasvatī during his visit to Réunion Island in 1998.
Four years later, he joined him in India for a three-year residential course in Vedānta and Sanskrit. In 2007, he took the vows of brahmacharya and became Brahmachārī Omkāra Chaitanya, after which he continued teaching in temples in the south of the island as well as at the Ashram du Port. In 2010, he received Sannyāsa Dīkṣā in Rishikesh, India, and became Swāmī Pranavārthānanda Sarasvatī.
In 2009, during the visit of Pūjya Swāmī Dayānanda Sarasvatī, he established his own center, Pranava Ashram Réunion, located in Trois Mares in the south of Reunion island.
